Automatic Retraction Stop (ARS) which retracts the ram just enough to get ready for the next cycle saving time and energy. LED light provides the operator with the battery charge and tool maintenance status. Two-stage hydraulic system provides fast advance and power speeds, saving time. Forward handle position improves tool balance. One trigger controls all tool functions. Crimping head rotates 350. Tools automatically retract when the crimping cycle is complete. Overmolded tacky grip areas make gripping the tool easier and more comfortable. LED work light illuminates dark work areas. Greenlee battery-powered crimping tools now use bio-degradable oil. EK425LX 6 Ton Crimper with CJD3BG Jaws Bare Tool. Equipped with Bluetooth Communication enabled via the Greenlee Gator Eye app. Features LED display screen communicating pressure and battery levels as well as tool diagnostics with real-time tool feedback. Operated with one hand, leaving the other hand free to position the cable and connector. The crimping jaws open wide to fit easily over connectors. In-line tool style is lightweight and very easy to control. To help prepare for a crimp, the jaws can be jogged closed until they just grip the connector, allowing the operator to position the cable in the connector before finishing the crimp. Completes about 325 crimps per battery charge on 4/0 AWG splices. When a crimp is fully completed, the EK425LX signals the operator by automatically opening the jaws. It is then ready to make the next crimp. And, when the crimping jaws need to be opened before a crimp is complete, the operator can simply push a button on the back side of the tool. Manual Crimping Tool with D and BG Die Grooves. Designed for crimping a wide range of overhead service entrance connections, overhead splices, and overhead taps. Easy-to-use MD-6 type "pop" tool. K425 tools are equipped with D, die groove and either "BG" or "O" die groove. The D die groove serves as a die seat for all Greenlee KD6 and industry "W" type dies. Bent fiberglass handles provide a solid grip, good leverage and better durability than wood. Low friction-impregnated bushings at pivot joints provide smooth operation and long life. Complete crimps are assured with an over-center cam mechanism. Tool can easily be checked visually for proper adjustment and can be adjusted with Allen wrenches.
