Crescent Electric Supply Company and Subsidiaries Return Policy

At Crescent Electric Supply Company and our family of brands, we are committed to providing a smooth and transparent return experience. Credit may be allowed for goods returned with prior approval by a duly authorized representative of Crescent. Please review our return policy below to ensure your items qualify.

 

Return Eligibility

Items must meet the following conditions to be eligible for return:

  • Returned within 8 months of the original invoice date
  • Unused, in original, resalable condition
  • Include all original packaging, accessories, and labels
  • Accompanied by the invoice number or sufficient details to identify the original purchase
  • At Crescent’s sole discretion, other limitations on material returns may apply.

Items must be securely packaged to prevent damage during return shipping or pickup.

Note: Customers are responsible for all third-party freight costs unless otherwise arranged. All returned items are subject to inspection before credit is issued.

 

Non-Returnable Items

The following materials are non-returnable, unless specifically authorized by the manufacturer:

  • Cut-to-length material (e.g., wire)
  • PVC-coated rigid conduit and fittings
  • Non-stock lamps and lighting
  • Modified, energized, or custom-fabricated items
  • Discontinued or made-to-order items
  • Products purchased more than 8 months ago
  • Products marked as non-cancelable or non-returnable
  • Items not purchased from Crescent Electric or an affiliated location

Restocking Fees

Restocking fees are based on the number of days since the invoice date:

Days Since Purchase Restocking Fee
0-60 days 0%
61-120 days 15%
121-180 days 30%
181-240 days 45%
Over 240 days Not Returnable

Special order / non-stock items (including DTS) are subject to the same schedule plus:

  • Required pre-approval and RGA (Return Goods Authorization) from the supplier
  • Any additional manufacturer fees (restocking, handling, cancellation)
  • Applicable inbound and outbound freight charges

 

Credit & Refund Policy

  • Credit will be issued after return and inspection
  • For commodity products, credit will reflect the lower of the original purchase price or current replacement cost
  • Large quantity returns that could cause overstock may be refused or subject to additional fees
  • Shipping is non-refundable.

 

Refund Guidelines

  • Cash sale returns (no account) require the original receipt
  • Cancelled special orders may incur cancellation charges
  • Credits are not refundable but can be used toward future purchases
  • No refund checks will be issued for product returns
  • Non-Stock Cancellations: Product cancelled before shipment may incur cancellation charges which will be paid by customer.
  • Credits:
    • Credit balances are non-refundable and only can be used to purchase new materials.
    • Customer will receive credit for the original purchase price, unless it is a commodity. For commodities, a customer will receive a credit for the lower of either the original purchase price or current replacement cost.

 

How to Initiate a Return

Contact your Crescent Electric sales representative, local branch,or email onlinesupport@cesco.com to start the return process.

You’ll need:

  • Invoice number
  • Product details
  • Reason for return
