Lighting Control Market
What’s driving this uptick?
Increasing demand for smart, energy-efficient buildings, accelerated by stricter energy codes, corporate sustainability goals, and the integration of loT-enabled systems all play a role. Reducing operating costs via automation, occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting also factor into the mix, too.
Leading manufacturers are also helping shape this growth with advanced, networked solutions that integrate seamlessly into broader building systems. Crescent Preferred Supplier Partners Acuity Brands, Cooper Lighting, Hubbell, Legrand, Leviton, Lutron Electronics, RAB, and Schneider Electric continue investing in wireless controls, sensors, and intelligent platforms designed for scalability and performance. Their innovations are enabling contractors and facility managers to deliver smarter, more adaptable spaces.

Tariff Updates
Supreme Court clamps down on President’s tariff powers. Last month, the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump’s tariffs on U.S. trading partners violated federal law. What does this mean for manufacturers, distributors, contractors — and everyone else in the supply chain?
The answer is, “Nobody knows yet.”
So stand by — we’ll keep you updated when there’s news to share.

Construction Market Sentiment
According to Associated Builders and Contractors’ Construction Confidence Index, contractor sentiment remains positive heading into spring 2026. All three components of the index (sales, profit margins, and staffing expectations) continue to register above the growth threshold, signaling that contractors expect business conditions to improve over the next 6 months.
While backlog levels have softened slightly in some geographies, overall sales expectations have strengthened year-over-year and hiring plans remain steady. Margin expectations are more measured, reflecting ongoing cost pressures, but overall confidence suggests that demand for commercial and industrial construction activity remains resilient.
