About Transformers

Transformers are devices that transfer energy from one circuit to another, stepping up or reducing AC voltages as needed. Basic transformers are composed of three parts: a magnetic core, a primary winding, and a secondary winding. There are many different sizes and types of transformers since they’re used in a variety of electrical operations ranging from huge power grids to tiny electronic devices.
