Crescent Electric Supply Company’s President & CEO Announces Retirement

East Dubuque, Illinois, November 20, 2019 - Martin (Marty) Burbridge, President & CEO of Crescent Electric Supply Company, has announced his retirement effective April 1, 2020.   

Beginning his career in sales with Crescent in Davenport, Iowa in 1978, Marty has held leadership roles such as a branch manager, district manager and varying officer roles beginning in 1985. He has been the President & CEO since 2008. 

Marty has been very involved in acquisitions since joining the Crescent corporate team. He has also been instrumental in the development and evolution of two different national account organizations in the Vantage Group and IM Supply that Crescent is a part of.

“I have spent 41-plus years at Crescent Electric, and for the past few, I have focused very closely on where the organization is going and what we would need in leadership to make that happen,” Marty said. “We have built one of the industry’s best executive teams to provide the guidance necessary to deliver on our growth objectives.”

David Keltner, Chairman of the board commented, “We have been very fortunate to have Marty’s leadership over the past 41 years. He has been instrumental to Crescent’s success over that time, and he has built a quality management team to ensure its success in the future.”

Marty plans to continue serving the company throughout the transition process. “The ongoing success of Crescent Electric is vitally important to me,” he said.

The company’s Board of Directors have formed a search committee, and expect to identify a successor for the position in early 2020.
