Crescent Electric Promotes Joe McDermott to Regional Vice President

East Dubuque, IL, March 1, 2018 – Crescent Electric Supply Company has announced the promotion of Joe McDermott to the position of Regional Vice President. In his new role, McDermott will own P&L responsibility for all branches in the Central Region of the national electrical distribution company.   

McDermott began his career in the electrical wholesale business in 1986 and held numerous management positions with WESCO and Grainger before joining Crescent Electric in 2009 as the Northern Illinois district manager. Under his leadership, Crescent expanded beyond the construction market to also become one of the premier industrial automation distributors in the area.  

“Joe’s proven track record of revenue and profit growth, his continuous business leadership, and his history of coaching, mentoring and promoting from within will be a valuable asset to the region and to Crescent Electric as a whole,” noted Rob Onorato, Crescent Electric Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

McDermott attended the University of Notre Dame where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also holds an MBA in Corporate Planning from Roosevelt University.
