Crescent Electric Names Winner of Annual Founder’s Award (2016)
East Dubuque, IL, June 7, 2017 – Crescent Electric Supply Company, one of the ten largest electrical distributors in the U.S. has announced that Eric Jansen, account manager at the company’s Appleton, WI facility has won the Titus B. Schmid Founder’s Award of Excellence.
The award is presented annually to an account manager who achieves outstanding sales results with GE Lighting products, one of Crescent Electric’s oldest supplier partners (dating from 1925).
As recipient of the award, Jansen received $5,000 in GE stock, a personalized plaque and his named inscribed on a master plaque displayed at Crescent Electric’s corporate office in East Dubuque, IL.
Titus B. Schmid, the award’s namesake, founded Crescent Electric in 1919 with one warehouse in Dubuque, IA. The company is still privately held by the Schmid family and now serves contractor, commercial, institutional and industrial customers with a full range of electrical, data communications, industrial and energy efficient lighting products from 140 locations nationally.
