8911 definite purpose starters are inexpensive starters for applications with relatively low duty cycles. Typical applications include air compressors, agricultural equipment, pumps, and HVAC equipment. This three pole definite purpose starter has a full load rating of 20 amperes. This starter has ratings of 1.5 HP at 115 VAC and 3 HP at 230 VAC single phase. It has a 7.5 HP at 230 VAC, 460 VAC and 575 VAC three phase. The nonreplaceable coil is available with a variety of coil voltages. This device has a 440/480 VAC 50/60 Hz coil. The starter has straight through wiring. The melting alloy type overload relay uses Type B thermal units to sense over current conditions. A painted sheet steel NEMA 1 general purpose enclosure is used to protect this definite purpose starter. Enclosure is 8.50 inches tall, 4.84 inches wide and 4.02 inches deep. Auxiliary contacts are available for these starters. 8911DPS definite purpose starters are UL component recognized.
