In 2021, Atkore launched MC Glide Tuff, a low-profile interlocked armor design that reduces fatigue on workers during cable installation. Like its predecessor, MC Tuff, MC Glide Tuff has a lightweight, high-strength blue galvanized steel interlocked armor that features ColorSpecID/ColorTrak ID for easy identification. These cables have no conductor count limit, offer various conductor bundle combinations, and meet UL Standard 1569 and NEC 330. They consist of THHN/THWN rated conductors twisted and wrapped with polypropylene assembly tape, and come with an insulated green equipment grounding conductor.
